Is Exclusive Breastfeeding more Beneficial?

There are arguments in most traditional society on the importance of exclusive breast which brings about questions like; what is the difference between an exclusive breastfed baby and a baby that wasn't given exclusive breastfeeding since they have same physical appearance.
I will be giving out the importance of exclusive breastfeeding which makes it more advisable than other. But before we proceed, let us know what Exclusive breastfeeding is all about.

WHAT IS EXCLUSIVE BREASTFEEDING?

Exclusive feeding is the feeding of a baby from 0-6 months with breast milk alone.Exclusive breastfeeding helps to promote ,protect,support the health and well being of the nursing mother and their babies.

5 HEALTH BENEFITS OF EXCLUSIVE BREASTFEEDING

1. Exclusive breastfeeding promotes bonding between the mother and their babies.The baby feels the warmth of the mother through skin to skin contact.

2. The amino acid composition of the milk contains cystine and taurine which helps in the growth and development of the brain.These makes the exclusive breastfed babies to be more intelligent.The high intelligence is due to high galactose content of breast milk.


3. There is risk reduction of childhood diabetes mellitus and lymphoma in exclusively breastfed babies.

4. It helps to reduce the risk of heart disease in later life due to low cholesterol in their blood even as adult.

5.It promote the normal development of the face due to the movement of muscles during sucking of the breast. It also help to prevent tooth decay in children.

So mothers are encouraged to breastfeed their babies no matter how busy you are because it helps to promote the psycho-motor skills of your babies and increases personal family relationship.
